The bus 3.0 is used for the external DVD/CD writer. don't feel that DVD works with 2.0 only fine no need of 3.0.
Because in Data bus we have two types data fetching speed and data transferring speed.
Here the data fetching from DVD will be same as existing products but data transfer from DVD to CPU will be carried out on 3.0 bus hence considerable speed is achieved.
